This Privacy Policy lays out how VALDI LABS, PBC and its affiliates ("VALDI," "we," "our" or "us") collect, use, and share customer information in relation to our platforms, services, and solutions (collectively, the "Services").

When using our services, this Privacy Policy does not apply to data our customers may process.

From users of our Services ("users," "you," or "your") we may gather data from various sources, including: (i) information that you provided through your user account on our Services (your "Account"); (ii) your use of the our Services; and (iii) from websites, services and partners in the third-party.

Reading this Privacy Policy will allow you to be fully informed. If there are any inquiries about this Privacy Policy or VALDI's data collection and release practices, reach out to us.

Information We Collect, Information You Provide

I. Account Registration. When creating an Account with us, information such as name, company name, address, email address, and phone number will be stored. If referring another individual or organization to our company, we may also collect their information.

II. Payment Information. Financial information such as a credit/debit card number added to your account is processed through our third-party payment system. Your financial information is not stored on our platform. We do however, have access to financial information through our third-party payment system, and may store it at any time.

III. Communications. We may receive additional personal information about you such as, but not limited to, your name, email address, phone number, message content, attachments sent, and additional information you choose to provide if you contact us directly. When you open an email from us, you may also get a confirmation.

Personal information necessary to set up an Account is required.

Information We Collect During Use of Our Services

I. Use of Tracking Technologies. As a service provider, certain information is collected automatically, and we store it in our log files. Using our Services, certain information may automatically be collected from your device. IP addresses, browser type, ISP, referring/exit pages, operating system, date/time stamp, clickstream data, landing page, and referring URL can be included. A cookie will be placed on your device when visiting our Services to collect this information. In order for our services to recognize you, Cookies will contain amounts of information. We reserve the right to collect information about your use of our Services, Service functionality, visit frequency, and other Service interactions automatically. When using different websites and services, we may still track your use. In some countries, information mentioned earlier in this paragraph may be considered personal information depending on the jurisdiction. Countries in the European Economic Area are included.

II. Service Usage. We may collect information about your engagement with our Services during your use. That includes processor and memory usage, storage capacity, Service navigation, and system-level metrics. We also use this data to analyze our business performance on a weekly basis.

Information Received from Third Parties

I. Third-Party Accounts. Deciding to link our Services to a third-party account will result in us collecting information from that account. That includes an authentication token. Visiting the privacy settings of your third-party accounts may limit the information shared with us.

How We Use Information

We use collected information to:

  • Analyze and build to our Services;
  • Understand how you use our Services;
  • Increase Service functionality;
  • Communicate with you; and
  • Process payment transactions.

How We Share Information

Collected information may be shared to others in different ways, including:

Anonymized Information. When allowed by law, we may send user information to our partners in anonymized form, to ensure that you cannot be identified.

Third-Party Partners. User information can be shared with third-party partners in order to share information about you that is publicly available.

When Joining Through a Referral. If you start using our Services after a referral, we may inform your referrer.

Analytics. Google Analytics is one of the analytics providers we use. Google Analytics collects non-identifying information through the use of cookies. Specific privacy options can be found at http://www.google.com/policies/privacy/partners/.

When Required Through Requests or Processes. In order to comply with applicable laws, regulations, legal processes, or governmental requests, to detect or address fraud, security, or technical issues, to respond to requests for information, and to address rights, property and safety protection.

With Your Permission. With your consent, we may share your information.

Legal Basis for Personal Information Processing. Depending on the personal information required, our legal basis for collecting and using the information will vary.

In normal cases, we will collect personal information from you when you’re purchasing our services, or when we have your permission to do so. When responding to your inquiries, improving our Services, analyzing business strategy, or monitoring illegal activities, we may need to communicate with you.

In rare cases, in order to protect you from another person, we may need to collect your personal information under legal obligation. The information collected will not be shared to any uninvolved authorities.

We will make it clear when you need to provide personal information in order to comply with a legal order or when entering a contract with you. We will notify you at the corresponding time, and inform you if providing your personal information is required. If there are possible consequences that will result from a failure to provide your personal information, you will also be informed.

When using our Services, you may also access third-party services. The privacy policies of the third-parties is not our responsibility

Security

VALDI is committed to keeping your information private. We maintain different security technologies in order to do so. They are designed to protect against unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. The technologies are programmed to ensure the processing of your personal information is provided at the level of security appropriate. It is important to note that no security technology is 100% secure.

Retention of Data

When we have business needs that require the retention of personal information, we will store it. Those needs can include compliance with applicable legal, tax, or other monetary policies.

We will delete or anonymize your personal information if we have no business situation that requires it. When not possible, we will store your personal information securely, and isolate it from additional processing until the possibility of deletion surfaces.

Access

As a registered user, logging into our Services or emailing us will allow you to access some information tied to your account. Public Account activity prior to account deletion may remain stored on our servers and accessible to the public if you terminate your Account.

Reasonable steps to verify your identity before information maintenance and removal will be taken to protect your privacy and security. Periodically, we may store your provided information if needed for data recovery purposes. We may limit your access to your information if it inhibits VALDI's ability to comply with legal orders, limits VALDI's ability to process legal claims, leads to third party personal information disclosure, or results in a contract breach or disclosure of VALDI’s or a third party’s trade secrets or private business information.

Your Data Protection Rights Under the General Data Protection Regulation

If you are an individual resident of the European Economic Area, you have the data protection rights listed below:

  • Emailing us to access, correct, update, or request deletion of your personal information.
  • Objecting to the processing of your personal information. That includes asking us to restrict the processing of your personal information, and requesting portability of your personal information. Emailing us allows you to exercise those rights.
  • You have the right to opt-out of marketing messages we may send you. Clicking on the "unsubscribe" or "opt-out" link in the marketing emails we send you allows you to exercise that right. If you wish to opt-out of other forms of marketing, please email us.
  • With your prior consent, after our collection and processing of your personal information, you may withdraw your consent at your discretion. The lawfulness of any processing we conducted prior to your consent withdrawal will not be affected. It will not affect your personal information’s processing conducted in accordance with lawful processing grounds not involving consent.
  • If you wish to lodge a complaint to a data protection authority regarding our collection and use of your personal information, you may do so.
  • Individual requests that aim to exercise data protection rights in accordance with applicable data protection laws.

Your Choices

Even without registering, you can use certain Service features without registering.

If you wish to unsubscribe from certain promotional emails, follow the instructions listed at the end of the email. We may still contact you for informational, transactional, account-related, or company-related matters even after you unsubscribe.

Many browsers now have a disable cookie feature, which allows you to choose the cookies you want placed. If you decide to accept no cookies, certain parts of our Services may no longer work.

Minor's Privacy

VALDI does not knowingly collect information from minors under 18 years of age. In correlation, minors under 18 are not allowed to use our Services. You can alert us via email if you discover any violations of the rules listed in this paragraph.

Changing Our Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy can be changed at our discretion. Such changes will be posted on our websites. We will notify you via email or other communication if we change the way we use or share collected personal information.

International Data Transfers

VALDI is a global business, and as a result, the transfer of personal information to countries other than the origin country is possible. These countries may have different data protection laws than the country of origin. Your personal information will be protected as described in this Privacy Policy during transfers.
